
"The Initial Bloom" Ribbon-work Retreat with Luis Nuñez
Sign up for this class and immerse yourself in a luxury needlework retreat in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. In this 2-day retreat each student with create a unique and exquisite, 10" x 10" floral monogram in silk ribbon work. With one-on-one instruction, Luis will demonstrate a myriad of ribbon embroidery techniques including: Japanese ribbon stitch, Tacked ribbon loops, Satin stitch, French knots, Colonial knots, and Cast-on bullion knots using 4mm and 7mm silk ribbon, 1/16" metallic ribbon, stranded silks, and metallic braided threads. Open to all skill levels.
