Sign up for this class and immerse yourself in a luxury needlework retreat in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. During this 3-day retreat, Debbie will teach you to embellish either or both "Butterfly" canvases by Zecca. You have a choice between the orange and green background design, but if you can't decide, get both!
Debbie has interpreted these canvases using the principles of focal point, depth perception, and color placement to create a unique stitch guide for you. Here's a sneak peek at what you'll learn:
- how to place a counted border around the design
- how to stitch intricate butterfly details using Silk Lame, Neon Rays+, and lots of beads using 3 beading techniques
- how to cover a nylon washer with a Buttonhole stitch
- how to blend threads to create a gradient of color in the middle section of each butterfly
Canvas designs measure 7" x 12" on 18m.
Three days (6 hrs/day) of instruction by nationally accredited needlepoint instructor, Debbie Stiehler.
Lunch included daily. Class limit: 18 with social distancing.
Note: The level of this class is Intermediate to Advanced. You should be able to read stitch charts and determine the starting area on your canvas. You should also know how to lay threads and how to stitch Basketweave and Continental.
